Hopewell Human Services, Inc.

ORGANIZATION'S MISSION STATEMENT:

To provide a broad strategic framework of operation that enhances the development and conservation of the community and its resources, and more specifically to provide holistic, high quality educational health and welfare, medical counseling, and other support services for the physically and economically distressed, with a special emphasis on the youth and the elderly.

BACKGROUND AND HISTORY:

Hopewell Human Services, Inc., was established in May, 2006 as a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation to enhance the development and conservation of the community and its resources, with a special emphasis on the youth and the elderly. In the Fall of 2007, Hopewell Human Services, in partnership with the Broward County Library, Northwest Branch, established a Pilot Intergenerational Literacy Project in an attempt to address several societal issues and concerns including the need for quality eldercare enrichment programs. To date, this pilot project has proved very successful, with participant increasing by the week. As a result of developing waiting lists, Hopewell Human Services has recently identified a second Broward County Library site, but will need funding to provide for general operations including staffing, training, supplies, and book scholarships for college volunteers.
