"The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of the sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19
The Hopewell Doves HIV/AIDS Ministry is dedicated to helping HIV/AIDS infected/affected community members promote and restore their faith and hope in Jesus Christ. The Ministry consists of Christian men and women who are led by the Word of God. They serve as a vehicle to bring people of all racial backgrounds and ethnicities to a conscious realization of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, through collaboration of community churches, education, and outreach programs. Our members resolve to be a Ministry that provides a non-judgmental environment where individuals and families can receive and/or be restored to faith, hope, and fullness in Jesus Christ within surroundings that are loving and nurturing.
Our mission includes conducting in-house and outreach programs in the church and community on HIV/AIDS, including HIV/AIDS counseling and testing; uniting with other faith-based organizations serving the HIV/AIDS community; facilitating community health fairs and forums addressing HIV/AIDS in the community; providing community educational outreach on a quarterly basis; fostering a non-judgmental, confidential and spiritual atmosphere for all new and existing members infected and affected by HIV/AIDS; providing community resources for all persons affected by HIV/AIDS; providing HIV/AIDS testing through the Broward County Health Department; and continuing in fervent prayer for persons infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00 - 8:00 P.M at Hopewell West.
