Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, in partnership with the Boy Scouts of America, has established its Boy Scouts Troop 243, as a way to provide wholesome activities for our young boys, to assist in their positive development, and to provide an educational program that enables them to build character. Their mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices by instilling in them the value of being responsible citizens, and to develop personal fitness while giving them an understanding about their own self-worth. Education is their chief focus and this program is designed to develop character, to promote mental and physical fitness and citizenship training.
