Having been led, as we believe by the spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Ghost, we do now in the presence of God, Angels, and this assembly

Mission Statement

It is our determination with the aid of the Holy Spirit to display, demonstrate, and declare that Jesus Christ is Lord. Therefore, we are committed to the study of the Holy Scriptures, fervent prayer, and to letting our light shine before men that they may see our good works.

Our History

Hopewell Baptist was organized on July 18, 1946. The founders were Rev. and Sister D. V. Miller, Deacon and Sister Frank Frazier, Deacon and Sister Lowe Griffin, Brother and Sister Jimmie Lee Johnson, Sister Mary Evans, Brother and Sister Gainer, Brother Frank Sims, and Brother Charlie Lovett
